Dear friends,

Amidst news of Tata(Sky adding new channels on their existing satellite Insat 4A at 83.0°E, they had a ray of hope with the launch of GSat12 in July 2011.

GSat12 is co-located with Insat 4A at 83.0°E. So it would have been a win-win situation without the need for re-aligning millions of dish antennas.

However much to the disappointment of Tata(Sky, this GSat12 has only Extended C-band transponders and not a single Ku-band transponder.

Over-utilization of Insat 4A by increasing beams may lead to its decreased service life or irreversible failure.

Yes ISRO guys keep everything under wraps till suddenly the dth operators realize the limitations of Indian satellites and move to Foreign satellites for good.

One operator was not happy with Insat4CR and has started moving to SES7 gradually.

Now Someone has copied it as a question in crap forum. :s

Yes I know and if you read their Experts kiddish reply you will laugh too much :hehe :lol
He says New Satellites will be "Authenticated" on 83° East :lol
He has changed the meaning of the word "Authenticated" in their dictionary. :hehe

Thanks Vinay For Gsat12 Information But Tatasky Want To Transponder on Gsat 10 Due to delays in the launch of ISRO's Gsat-10 satellite We Are Thinking About GSat-12 But DTH providers not be eligible to get transponder capacity on this 12 transponder satellite Coz All are C-Band & Gsat-10 Good For Dth and the Launched By European Arianespace " Ariane 5 from the Guiana Space Center"In first quarter of 2012.
