Got info from my source that Tata Sky is also trying to acquire some kU Band TP'S of upcoming launching satellite GSAT-11 which will be launched on April-May 2013 by GSLV MK-3 in India. The GSAT-11 satellite is far far better then all previous series satellites. It has 40 transponders carrying 20 kU band & 20 kA band. The kU Band transponder has bandwidth of 10 Ghz against the current 36 Mhz. Means 1 TP can broadcast around 180 SD and 60 HD channels in MPEG-2.

tatasky aru not using gsat 10 satellite what they will use gsat11.these are not great news.

eventhough they invested in gsat11,this doesnt mean that they didnt add channels in gsat10.its already succesfully launched in orbit,at 83°E

guys,if its correct news, tatasky will going to launch bundle of channels in huge number this year

respected brothers and sisters, gsat 11 positioning has not been confirmed yet so do not worry as at 74 degree or +- 5 degree of it there is no sat thru which dth ops in india operate so isro will surely not keep it at 74 degree east as it has ku band tps which has immense space. i believe that it will be kept at 85 degree east so that both videocon d2h and tata sky can use it or may b it will b kept somwhere else if reliance and sun direct hire tps on it. it all depends on who acquires tp
