Tata Sky HD box has been updated to support 60Hz output a long time back. Ever since then I have been very hopefully waiting for the same support on the Tata Sky+ HD box as well. With every new software update, I very hopefull, anxiously and nervously check to see if the support is added and every time disappointed.

I would like to know if anyone has any insights into this and if and when this might be added. I am using Atlona media center to do the conversion for now. Everyone that wants to watch TV at home gets frustrated that they have to turn so many things on and the converter is the least use friendly device made, but works very well once turned on.

I am seriously considering to move to Videocon D2H as their box supports it. I really like Tata Sky though and have been waiting for more than 4 years for this update. Please inform any details you might know.

Why do you need 60Hz output? Does your TV not support 50 Hz?

Even the new 4K box only outputs at 50Hz.

Yes, my TV does not support 50 Hz, it is a Panasonic Plasma that I got back from the US. No plans on changing the TV. Videocon D2H supports it and also the Tata Sky HD box supports it. It is just the Tata Sky+ HD box that does not support it. Looking forward to a software update that might add support, soon.

Does the new Tata Sky+ Transfer Box support 60Hz? Can someone that purchased it confirm so that I can think about an upgrade.
