Tata Sky partners Hindi GECs to launch clone HD channel services

Direct-to-home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has
launched a new high definition (HD) service called +1 that will allow its subscribers to watch their favourite shows twice or catch it up after s/he has missed it by an hour.


+1 will be the same as an HD channel, except that the service will run with a one-hour delay. For example, if a particular show airs at 8 pm on an HD channel, the +1 HD channel will air the same show with a one-hour delay at 9 pm.

Tata Sky has created +1 services only for Hindi general
entertainment channels like Colors, Sony Entertainment
Television (SET) and Zee TV. Colors HD +1 is available on
channel no 148, SET HD +1 is available on channel no 129 and Zee TV HD +1 is available on channel no 142.

+1 services can be viewed upon subscribing to the respective HD a la carte at applicable rates. Ultra Plus HD and Ultra Plus South HD customers will enjoy these services as part of their subscription.

Alternatively, subscribers can also view the +1 services by
paying Rs 175 when the corresponding SD channel is
subscribed to as part of the base pack, an add-on pack, or a
standalone a la carte subscription.

Currently, DTH operators already offer digital video recorder
(DVR) set-top boxes (STBs) that let subscribers record shows and watch it at their convenience.

Last year, Tata Sky had launched a new product called Tata
Sky+ Transfer HD. Priced Rs 9,300, Transfer HD allows
customers to transfer/stream recorded shows directly on
Android and iOS devices.

Tatasky launched HD '+1' Services on the platform on 18-Aug at 10:00 hours.

" +1 " Services are unique Services only available at Tata Sky platform.

These Services gives Tatasky subscribers an opportunity to watch their favourite shows twice or catch-up the show immediately if he or she has missed it by an hour.

The +1 Services would be the exact same Channel as the respective HD Ch, just broadcasted with a 1 hour delay.

For E.g: Star Plus HD - Siya Ke Ram at 8 PM | Star Plus HD +1 ? Siya Ke Ram at 9 PM.


Below will be the Services & Channel numbers

Sony HD +1 - Ch. No. 129 ,
Zee TV HD +1 - Ch. No. 142 ,
Colors HD +1 - Ch. No. 148



Subscriber can subscribe to the +1 Services.

If the subscriber is holding HD Access Fee & the respective SD channel.
