Tata tv is good name Becoz after implementation on tv logo in replace sky on television screen is good play word take extra space on screen which obstruct the channels

Well though the new name is not as appealing as former one but nevertheless Tata Play will continue being a strong DTH player and people will get accustomed to new identity slowly with the mega rebranding activity planned by company. Tata name itself is enough for Indians to have strong trust in any of their product, also with new branding they will try to cater to both conventional lineat television viewers and build on the OTT momentum

I had stated long back that someday this will happen but some esteemed members raised apprehensions on my assessment. Anyways now let's see when Disney exits the venture and how Tata manages dth business on its own . Having an experienced broadcast player like Sky had many advantages but I m sure Tata will do great on its own or if needed will have partnership with some company if need arises

So much negativity in one thread. Guys don't forget people's trust in Tata Sons is more than your parents have in you 😅

Tata Play should be combined OTT service for Voot, Disney+, ZEE5, Sony LIV, PrimeVideos, etc. in one subscription.

In my opinion, it should be renamed as TATA SATELLITE BROADCASTING LIMITED or TataSAT (SAT for "Satellite"). As it is mainly a Satellite TV service. I remember before their launch they used to call it "Satellite TV Service" in their teaser ads. And Satellite TV being their core business, TataSAT would be a proper sounding name for the company.

I just said Tata TV sounds better than Tata Play - for a dth☺️.
If Disney doesn't withdraw their share in Tata Sky, it is an opportunity for them to make their identity more popular in India. By naming 'Tata Disney' DTH.
They are more interested in promoting their streaming service. That's why they've stopped satellite broadcasting all over the world where they are present.
