i m saying it is not so good bcoz it is an arpu. it is not pat or pat per user.

it may b best in the industry but :

minimum base - 230 or 240
arpu = 250
which is nothing

i know that only 24% of the base pack amount go to the broadcasters n rest 76% is retained by the company.
so still 250*76% is not so good.

Impressive in the sense that they are in a better position than other DTH operator in terms of making profit :k

which is good in terms of business point of view

History TV18 HD, TLC HD, Fox Life HD, Travel XP and NGC People HD must be added this time. Only God knows how many HD channels TS will add but sochne mein apna kya jaata hai.

sorry bro... still ur statement is a little bit confusing
answer 1 - we cannot judge whether tata is in a better position as compare to its peers n rivals bcoz we do not know input cost of any of the dth.

e.g. dish tv = arpu = 240
tata = arpu = 250
but if dish tv's input cost is much lesser than tata so dish tv is in a better position in terms of profit bcoz of the above said example.

Direct-to-Home operator TataSky will add 20 new channels shortly as it has introduced a new compression technology to its network, a move that has disrupted services to nearly 17,000 subscribers in the past couple of days..

Because those 17000 customers had slightly misaligned dishes. Others have proper alignment. The change in parameters resulted in the misaligned dishes to not receive optimal signal.

Guys, only some of them would be HD channels, I think it may be from 5 to 8 HD channels. If we think that only 5 HD channels will be added then I think, they will add first &tvHD, &picturesHD, AnimalPlanetHD, NatGeoWildHD and HistoryTv18HD on the priority basis !!
