But channel conversion does not show how much box has been replaced ? U can convert all channels in a day but u cannot change all box in a day.

If ISRO handover the additional tps to TS before,then today they don't required to go for mpeg4 migration and box replacement which is taking long time.:dodgy

India have 800 SD channels.If 3 tps will be vacant then they have to use that for channel addition.But I don't think they will add 450 channels,they will happy with 300.

Right now they are caring 39 sd channels and 3 HD channels on 1 tp(I think 11470 H). So multiply with 10 gives 390 Sd channels and 30 HD channels still they have 2 TP vacant. Which means almost 90 sd channels. So total
390+30+90= 510 channels

Forget upscaled HD TS will not provide that. for 30 HD channels u need 2 tp. What about rest 3 out of 5

bro india has more than 34 hd chs ...check this link ..i didnt find any upscaled hd in it ..do u find any???
