Current T.P space



After Mpeg -4 migration

Total 12 T.P

7 T.P in DVB S2 & 5 in DVBS

Calculation on the basis of S.D Channel capacity

DVBS2 T.P can carry 50 or 51 channels (Gssran Bro.'s Updation)

DVB's T.P can carry between 25 to 30 channels in good quality

7 x 50 = 350 channels

5 x 25 = 125 channels

Total S.D channel space is between 475 to 500 S.D channels

I heard a news form DTH Forums Tata sky's 2 T.P will be surrender to ISRO now they have 12 T.p's 7 in Mpeg 4 DVBS2 and 5 in Mpeg - 4 DVBS.

* Another Possibility is 2/12 T.P Surrender to ISRO. Balance 10 T.P convertd to MPEG -4 DVBS2
(Currently 7 T.P Converted to DVBS-2)

10 T.P X 50 S.D channels = 500 Channels

i.e they can add 400 S.D channels and 35 HD Channels in this service.

I hope that, Gssran bhai's valuble reply/ suggestion in this regard...........?
and any news about malayalam channel addition?

Well as per my sources nothing is surrender its just assumption from thread starter, So no need to be happy
