in my view 600 + SD channels possible with 12 DVB-S2 mpeg4 tps as each mpeg4 tp of tata sky are carring 55+ SD channels :k

I don't think there will be 600+ channels any time soon. May be he is checking if it is possible to have these many with current bandwidth.

Today morning when i changed satellite from Insat4 to GSAT10 in setting then all channels are running. Yesterday when i was choosing GSAT10 then no signals was coming.

Yesterday i have received my HD STB software update with new satellites including GSAT10 . Go to setting then press 01 and select then satellite settings will open.

Nothing will be clear till this so called new compression procedure is over. Then only we will know that what has happened. Is it just moving to gsat10 only? Or is it some new compression technology applied along with moving to gsat10? Because if they just move to gsat10 without changing remaining channels to mpeg4 then not much scope of many new channels. Or they just have mpeg4 channels on gsat10 and continue to use insat4a with remaining mpeg2 channels till mpeg4 migration is completed along with stb changing then they can have around 550 channels on gsat10 only. Because as per capacity both insat4a and gsat10 have the same capacity.
