This is dumb decision. Instead of making good movies, they are making silly decisions. Are they really thinking people will watch movies in theatres if they don't mention OTT/Satellite partner details at the beginning?? People will watch good movies in theatres even when they know it will come in ott soon. for example Sitaramam is in 4th week and it's housefull in most of the theatres even today and people know that digital with prime video even before the release of the movie. Same with Karthikeya 2, people know that it will be with zee5 from the first look posters, still it is running successfully.

Producers guild restricting the ott viewing for 8 weeks is a dumb decision according to small films, Because OTT providers won't give good amount if they have to hold it for 8 weeks. for example, teesmaarkhan(august 19), Wantedpandugaad(august19) are washed out from day1 itself. Why would they want to hold it for 8 weeks if they are not making any revenue?
