but where is channels?

It's coming but the problem is U are going to fast. More than 90% of our fellow Indians are not been able to keep the pace with u with upgrading TV. So they are still using CRT and watching SD channels. On top of that Govt has virtually postponed Digitisation. So broadcasters are not in hurry to launch HD channels. That's why only 35 - 40 HD channels compared to 900 SD channels. So keep waiting ...........

And 4k, it's only for our Indian billionaires at this moment :k

Very Good Update Gssran Bro :tup
Dear All,

Tata Sky begins the New Year with the launch of India’s first 4K set top box in India.

The set top box will be available for existing and new subscribers to enjoy the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Live on Star Sports in astonishingly sharp picture clarity.
Tata Sky 4K is a new generation set top box with the capability of delivering Ultra High Definition picture quality and Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound. 4K has approximately four times the pixilation as that of the current HD standard, thus brings far greater clarity and more vivid colors on screen for viewers.
Tata Sky UHD 4K Box will be available for Pre Booking tomorrow onwards, for existing as well as new subscribers.
The box delivery process will start after two weeks.
The price of Tata Sky UHD 4K is:

For existing subscribers (upgrades/MultiTV)

Rs 5900

For new subscribers

Rs 6400

Regards

Not for Billionaires, The cheapest 4K tv by LG is available at Rs 68,000 in India. Once the chinese brand Xiaomi launches its 4K tv it will be priced around 50,000. Technologically we cant stay behind, thanks to tata and d2h we are at par with the west in terms of 4K at least. The service will only boost 4K tv sales and bring the price down for people at lower end of the income curve. More 4K tv sales means more 4K channels. And the quality is mind blowing I suggest you all to visit your nearest electronics store and check some 4K tvs

correct useless hd and 4k in indian dth

If U want to enjoy western quality HD/4K then u should be ready to pay as much as western customers are paying. But we Indians are very price sensitive and most of the customers are not willing to pay that much. That's why customers in india are not paying for HBO hitzs and defined and as a result HBO forced to give these two chs to star
