If I am not wrong .toonami was closed down in usa in 2009 .since then few shows are coming on adult swim as toonami shows in USA

Animax is now available on Sony LIV as a pemium LIVE channel . Toonami they might stat a block in CN india like they do in US on saturday or Sundays .

But Animax Asia as a premium channel is worst alternative. They don't have good Anime lineup like old days. If they get they are one year late. Better using Crunchyroll will be best option. While other sites offer large content from Japan within just one hour from Japanese Premiere.

Animax failed because they stopped dubbing Animes in english also in 2010 and started airing in original Japanese audio. In 2012 it got removed from all DTH . Even after returning on Tata Sky they couldn't get trp or revenue they desired. That's reason Animax got rebranded into Sony Yay! .

But they failed to acquire simulcast rights of My Hero Academia Season 3 and for The Seven Deadly Sins Revival of Commandant's they are one cour late. Their Competitor Aniplus has edge now in Asia. Aniplus Asia is simulcasting Steins Gate 0,Tokyo Ghoul Re,Persona 5 the Animation, Hozuki Head S2 , Darling in Franxx, The Ancient Grancest Wars. Also they have global hit Attack on Titan Season 3 for July. Animax is losing its superiority in Asia Definitely.

Animax has currently 250+ titles rights. Aniplus has not even rights to 100 Anime shows so they cant beat Animax so easily in long term.
