Cable is not free. Digital cable cost almost same as dth

Yes, but the question is about cost. If TS is considered costly, one has the option of choosing another TV delivery platform.

It's a consumer's market. If a customer thinks TS is costly, they can opt for a different DTH.

it is not an easy task for a user of one dth to change to other dth. Every dth gives same offers before taking a connection, like providing free subscription of two months. After that users will came to know the fact.at that time he will not be able to do anything.other than to continue the same dth

What is costly what is not depends on need of subscribers also. So better to leave it to subscribers to decide.

topic is diverted. But what our point is, since they are earning more profits, it is not a problem for them to launch free movie service.

I agree it may be difficult to change. But it is expected that one would consider and compare running package costs before opting for a service provider in the first place. Also as services increase in the long run, costs are bound to go up.

Who knows, wait for some time and when they have completed migration, they might provide multiple genre-wise free movie channels as well!

Thats why STB/DTH portability is required in India so that customers can choose from any DTH as per their requirement & cost of packs.

Agree bro. But TS CEO Harit Nagpal has said that people should learn to pay for service they get so there is no point expecting TS to launch free movie service. Also this would affect TS ARPU so thats a distant dream.
