Can anyone tell me what is the use of usb port in d2h sd stb.pls reply.

It can charge your mobile and you can also avail recording service by connecting 4gb pen drive or hard drive

It's printed in a label under STB.

BTW I didn't hear abt any USB port in SD STB.

In HD STB, depending on model ,you may require a software update to activate recording by calling cc.

After update you have to pay 200Rs as one time activation charge and 30 Rs monthly to use recording.

Manual update is only possible in 2222 hd stb and not in any other
But the 2 new hd stb the 2233 and 555 also have manual update feature
