AM Rathnam reveals the truth about Indian 2 (Wednesday, October 12, 2011)
The rumor mills have been spinning like crazy about the sequel to Indian to be directed by Shankar and produced by AM Rathnam with none other than Ajith Kumar in the lead. AM Rathnam has given the scoop.
The producer said that when media reports surfaced, there had been no such project in the works. But despite themselves they could not help thinking that it would be a good idea and now they are really working on it to see if something pans out although nothing is confirmed yet. AM Rathnam has said that if Indian 2 does take off, the media deserves full credit.

Producer A.M Rathnam of Sri Surya Movie has roped actor Vijay for his next film, which will be directed by ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ fame Vikram K Kumar. The filmmaker made his debut directorial with Simbhu-Trisha starrer ‘Alai’ and nearly after 5 long years of sabbatical gap made a runaway blockbuster ‘Yaavarum Nalam’.
The filmmaker was supposed to direct Vikram in ‘24’ that was later dropped and now is signing Vijay for another film.
With lots of eminent filmmakers – Siddique, Jeyam Raja and Vikram Kumar lined up for his next films, his fans can expect whole lot of new things happening over his films in future.
