End of Star Sports Era in Indian home matches...!!!

It has been 11 long years, showing all the International & domestic matches across the country from 2012 and increasing the love towards the game for many of them in this generation.
Star is one of the main reason for development of cricket in India. With regional feed, it reached every corner of the country and all it's channels available in each DTH / cable connections.
from 1998 Sachin storm in Sharjah, 1996 world cup , 2011 world cup india win, 2007 Yuvraj Six 6's, we have lot of memories with Star sports channel.
Only cons is PQ is bad for BCCI matches.

Possible Roadmap for Sports 18-
1. Launch atleast 2 HD and SD channels and keep away from launching a flurry of regional channels. Just dedicate one of the three channels for regional broadcast through audio feed.
2. Judiciously broadcast all the sporting properties instead of going gaga over India cricket.
3. Acquire atleast one more Cricket right, if possible New Zealand.

Roadmap for Disney Star-
1. Reduce unnecessary channels- Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2 and Star Sports Select 1 more than enough for the number of sporting properties they own.
2. Immediately discontinue regional sports channels to cut down costs. They can use their other regional channels during IPL.
3. Atleast acquire one more premium sporting property such as F1 or ATP TV rights (digital rights with Sony).

Roadmap for Sony-
1. Try to hold on to the properties they already have.
2. Perhaps buy West Indies and Bangladesh rights which will come cheap.
3. They have the most diverse range of sporting rights and if they stick to their strategy they will always stay in the business as the second fiddle to Disney and Viacom.

Star Sports was the first broadcaster in India to introduce Hindi commentary in cricket. Thank you very much for that..
Then After Remaining broadcaster following it...

According cricbuzz report after the media rights winner was announced, speculation arose that Viacom 18 might consider sub-licensing the television rights to Sony, similar to the arrangement between Star and Zee for ICC rights. However, this possibility was swiftly dismissed, with insiders asserting that Viacom 18 intends to broadcast on both linear (Sports 18) and digital (Jio Cinema) platforms.

Why should they will sub license their property?
TV industry is much more bigger than the OTT in India and it will continue to grow.

OTT will collapse once they start charging for the same
BCCI cricket is only big property for Sports18 for now, so why they can sub license having sports channels in hand?
