You people dont understand the simple logic that if 50 HD Channels are added then monthly cost of that pack for D2H would be at around RS 700 / 800 p.m. & people of India does not have that per capita income to afford those. Every one knows how costly DTH brands are becoming. Have they ever thought about customers ? Never ! D2H have added unwanted all language channels & showed increased channel count & increased pack price. They even dont have the guts of introducing RS 99 Pack like TS & ADTV. There are only 2 brands that thinks about customers TS & SD. Do you know TS 99 Pack can even be subscribed by HD Customers ? Every odd day D2H is shifting channels to Active Window & replacing by another channel. Whats the use of 50 HD Channels if we cannot afford them ?

I m on 19 HD pack = rs. 500 pm

Whereas I have d option of taking 24 HD pack, with rs.580 pm.

But I dont take it, bcoz I m happy wid 19 HD chnls, and rs.500 is affordable for me, I dont wanna spend more.

So, it is upto an individual to decide how many HD chnls he wants, and wht is his wallet size
DTH ops responsibility is to provide d max. chnl, how many of those are chosen, depends on us.

They shud give us d choice... we will then decide, how many and which ones we choose :shy

D2h is Currently Providing 35 HD Channels which by default makes d2h No.2 in India for Providing HD Channels.

As they say they are targeting to Provide 50 HD Channels, is this yet another gimmick by d2h or they are talking real !?

Lets have a look if its possible in current situation with all the available HD Channels which they can add to get the count up from 35 to 50.

There are 9 HD Channels Which d2h can currently add

1) Animal Planet HD
2) Fox Life HD
3) NGC People HD
4) NGC Wild Hd
5) NGC Music HD
6) Baby Tv HD
7) HBO Hits HD
8) HBO Defined HD
9) &TV HD

Which will total upto 44 HD Channels (So till here, they are not talking real)

HD Channels Planned in 2015

1) Start Movies Select HD
2) Comedy Channel HD
3) FX HD
4) VH1 HD
5) Zee Cafe HD

Now the total comes to 49 HD Channels (Only if all 5 Channels are Launched)

To fill up the gap d2h may come up with their own HD Channel as they are already Testing D2h Cinema HD or Second Possibility is in mean time some Private Channel might come up in HD.

But the million dollar Question is will d2h Sign up with all the above mentioned Channels and Carry those Channels on their platform, because so far they have failed to add few HD Channels mentioned above which were launched more than a year and still not added by d2h.

Even Dish Tv has not Crossed 44 HD Channels.

So looking at the above Math it looks like a dream come true.

What are trying to say ? no one is forcing these channels on to us.. its upto customers to decide if he needs to subscribe to a channel or not...
if a person can buy a hd tv for around 25000 he will have no problem paying money to watch the channels...why would he even buy a hd tv in the first place if he doesn't want to watch hd channels???
Why have you mentioned channels shifting ro active window in ur post? it has nothing to do with additions ..its just carriage fee issues....
Can you name some unwanted all language channels you are refering to?
