But I don't think d2h can acquire more than 10 tps bcuz that's the max they can offer for south Asia beam has their are also many other beams like east Asia and middle east too

D2H should acquire at-least 2-3 tps from ST-2 and should plan for their future satellite. Without this they will be in a serious trouble in near future..

ST2 satellite has the capability to realign Transponders ofcourse on demand. According to this thread by GODMAN, there are 7 more TPs on ST2 which D2H can acquire when needed.

ST2 K2 Beam Transponders New Details

Good Work GODMAN!!! But please check your calculations.

I dont know how you assumed d2h could add 8SD channels per TP after symbolrate changes.

They simply gain about 3Mbps of bandwidth per TP after symbolrate change which is good for adding 1SD channel. So in total 8SD channels or 2HD channels can be added if they change all TPs.

BTW, I predicted this change and explained how much space they would gain clearly in this thread videocond2h Changed the Symbolrate of TP 11483 V 44995

Your initial post was right. Please correct the list by adding +1 SD channel per TP

Final count would be 44 + 8 = 52 SD or 11 + 2 = 13 HD or 7 UHD channels (1 UHD on HEVC = 1.6 - 2 HD channels on H264)

Hmm..

@GODMAN:

D2H is utilizing the TP with a maximum of ~55 SD channels (if SD channels alone is there in the TP). I don't think they can add more than 55 SD channels in a single TP.

As per your calculation, it seems you are expecting them to add 60 SD channels in a single TP. Is it possible? Yes. But they need to compress the channels which will degrade the channel quality.

..

No bro, My Calculation is Correct

For Examble

In TP 11483 H 44995, 11 HD + 5 SD + 40 Radio Channels Available
if 1 HD Channel consumes almost 4 SD Channels
and 4 Radio Channels consumes almost 1 SD Channel

TP 11483 H 44995 (11 HD + 5 SD + 40 Radio Channels)

See this TP calculation ->

11 HD x 4 SD = 44 (So 44 SD channels space)
4 Radio x 10 SD = 40 Radio (So 10 SD channels space)
5 SD x 1 SD = 5 SD channels space

Total (44 + 10 + 5 = 59 channels)

List updated with the Addition of Kanak TV

TP 11546 H 44995

So Hereafter They Can Add Minimum 101 SD or 25 HD + 1 SD Channels

List updated with the Addition of Home Channel 2

TP 11609 V 43978

So Hereafter They Can Add Minimum 100 SD or 25 HD Channels
