d2h has 257 full screen sd channels plus 11 chs in small window in active service plus 22 hd chs ( this list excludes home channel, d2h cinema and 2 d2h movies channel)

there r total 284 chs in airtel(after removal of espn hd and star cricket hd it will bcome 282) including hd chs(remember this count does not include home ch,pay per view chs,telebrands , banner channels, star gold hitz and superhitz). if we take only sd chs then it comes down to 267 chs and out of this 267, 8 chs r in small screen that is idd and idd-south so ch count of linear ch further comes down to 259.

now airtel missing only Mega tv,all other channels available on airtel too.

Its clear, airtel has gone just a little ahead of d2h in terms of quality channels.

Airtel boasts of -- CBS Love, Granada TV, Zee Trendz, Zee premier, Topper
D2H boasts of -- Baby Tv, ZeeQ, Mtunes, khana khazana, care world, Jalwa,

Considering:

B4U movies(d2h) balances out zee action (airtel)
Espn news balances out Trace sports
MegaTv balances Makkal Tv
Jeevan balances jaiHind
Zing balances ETC
9X0 balances CBS Spark

Yes, D2H is having more bengali, marathi, gujarati channels, but Airtel on other hand has more Telugu, Kannada, North East, Punjabi, News channels.

Allin all its ur call, but on a whole Airtel has better quality of channels in their bouquet I feel. Though if one is a HD subscriber, then definetely D2H is leading. (with the removal of ESS from airtel)
