Viva+ launches on AsiaSat 5 in Indonesia

Indonesia’s convergent DTH service operator, PT Digital Media Asia, has launched its new pre-pay DTH satellite service, Viva+, on Asia Satellite Telecommunications’ (AsiaSat) AsiaSat 5. Viva+ will utilise multiple Ku-band transponders on AsiaSat 5 at 100.5 degrees east.

The DTH service bouquet will initially consist of two HD and 35 SD channels including nine channels dedicated to the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil; and the package comprise a wide range of Indonesian and international television channels ranging from entertainment, news, sports, to children and religious programmes.
