One thing i have always noticed is that star channels often see the biggest drop during IPL seasons while zee channels hardly see any decline. I wonder if it has something to do with IPL being telecast on star sports so viewers who subscribe to the star pack probably shift to star sports during IPL, whereas viewers of other channels remain stable.
In fact, this year zee shows even saw growth during IPL. That vasudha show is topping the charts and its trps have increased whereas star shows fell from around 2.1-2.3 to 1.5-1.7. Most zee shows are actually much more stable compared to star shows.

They've done it before as well but in the Urban all day TRP they were still behind star

Zee is most improved channel, but on TRP front, their shows still suck. Most of the shows revolve around same plot, where they show love angle between poor female and Rich male lead or vice versa with lot of family drama. The same cringe drama for that Star Plus been criticized.
Anyway, atleast it's bringing some competition and forcing Star to do something to regain prime, they were in comfortable zone for years.

sometimes kids can play a prank on their parents.... that " Star TV is showing cricket matches, so your serial will not be telecasted "
Seniors might not even notice, if its Star Plus or Star Sports... they may only be seeing the Star logo

What do they will do good stories from their own network they are remaking for Colors. The same stories their own regional channels ruling but with sharing to Colors they are trailing behind Zee.
