The assets of Doordarshan and All India Radio remain under the government's control and not Prasar Bharati's though the Act was passed in 1990 and notified in 1997.

The CEO of Prasar Bharati has a rather nominal control over his news services when all postings and transfers, and confidential reports are controlled by the ministry of I&B.

Ref: Prasar Bharati’s autonomy mirage - Financial Express Mobile

CBI also an autonomous body , where the posting is in control of Govt.

Till date Govt does the posting & funding but it is not controlling the functioning of it. Same applies to Prasar Bharati.

It is waste of time to debate with guys , who not ready to understand or accept the facts.

I guess you never read the given sentence in full. It's ok, and yes, it waste of time proceeding this debate.

Dear,

If Arasu Cable is good one for operators then all operators will be interested in joining with them. They liked Arasu cable because of the torture given by sun group. They suppressed the operators. But now Arasu cable is not considering village operators. Village operators are around 20 to 30 kms away from the control room. Arasu cable is not taking care for ofc cables. The last end operators have to depend the foremost operators for signal. If a signal is cut at any place the last end operator will be affected. The last end operator is a village operator. In villages most people are farmers. During day time they for fields and in the evening they sit in front of tv from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. At that time if there is no signal then the operator has to face many conswquences.
Arasu cable should get under ground facility. Also the optic cable should be maintained by the Arasu cable.
Mr. House MD shall give advice for Arasu cable to maintain the optic cable.
The rule is the signal should be given by the MSO to the operator at his own cost.

This is exactly i too wish from Arasu, a high class service when it comes to signal and cable wirings. Arasu has to put more efforts on this front.

First ask them put some effort on this front , then we talk about putting more efforts. As of now the cabling is done by LCO's and the Control room is not setup by Arasu they have using cable operators control rooms (No rental paid till date).

If the previous MSO paid for the lines and rent for control rooms then it would be good if Arasu too follows that, Arasu should always be the best. :)

If Arasu Cable is given DAS license, then all other states will try for the same. Then TRAI will inform the central govt that the govt has denied the TRAI's suggestions So it has to meet the consequences.

In Tamilnadu all village level operators will get off from the field. Then Arasu cable will take care of line TASMAC bar.

Wish you all the best. Go and drink and TASMAC bar and come home and see the Arasu cable TV free of cost.

Previous MSO (SCV) and other MSOs had their own cabling , head end , Control Room. It shows your knowledge on cable industry. Check with some cable operator if you don't know. Don't be in assumption and dream world always.

You can check with your LCO...The cabling till his control room is taken care by MSO and local cabling is done by LCO.

Ok, so if the MSO had their own cabling and now Arasu is using this cabling then why Arasu has to pay for LCO?

And when MSO had their own Control room and paid for it and now Arasu controls the control room then why LCO care about this? Why cant they just stay how they were with the other MSO?

And Arasu says they have invested over 50 crores for Headend and you say they haven't, whom should i trust?

My LCO is full of lies, for over 3 years my cable was only clear till the prime band and when i asked he would just say the MSO moved them to another band and so he cant do anything.... Once many people got pissed off and went to DTH and when others including me said we cant pay for this pathetic service then all of a sudden all channels till the very end came clear and he said he has a issue with the booster which is now rectified.... did it take 3 years to fix a booster??

When i asked him about Arasu he first said that Arasu doesn't have any sports channel so people wont like, then next month he said Arasu provides very bad quality so again people wont like, now he says Arasu staffs have Sat and Sun holiday and if the cable gets cut on Friday night i have to wait till Monday morning to get connected...... All these stories have been proved to be completely false by Arasu subscribers from Ambattur both with Analogue and STB.

Now most people wont care if Arasu simply bypasses LCO's and connects to people as they just want a proper cable no-matter how they connect and this online payment system has made it easier to pay directly to Arasu.

LCO's has to first learn to respect their customers and provide proper service and then expect the people to care for them, when they never cared for the people why are they expecting the people to care for them now??

No state has an Active MSO like Arasu so they cant start demand something similar to Arasu.

Why TASMAC? Arasu can easily handle this via Civil Supplies shops.

I don't drink and Arasu isn't a charity to be given for free.
