we can watch many free channels on dth and cable as well, without using internet.
NCF is undoubtedly a burden for subscribers. I'm from Kerala, and I receive only a limited number of Malayalam channels, while I get numerous channels and programs in languages I don't understand (such as Gujarati, Kashmiri, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Assamese, etc.). As a result, the NCF feels like a waste. The previous scheme, before the introduction of the NCF, was far more beneficial for TV subscribers.

TRAI attempted to regulate OTT providers, but they responded boldly and decisively. They stated, 'We are not telecom companies to be governed by TRAI.

We need to pay NCF even for FTA channels
Bro things are not equally for all.

Broadcasters gives FTA channels which mostly shows repeated telecast of shows or old movies.
& they earns good amount from advertisement.

But if NCF gets abolished how will DTH operators survive?
Can DTH operators give crores of rupees to govt. for satellites just to show us FTA channels free of cost or paid channels at their MRP??

Think bro, if I want to watch star sports 1 hindi (23/-) then Will DTH operators continue to provide me services if I pay only 23/- monthly to them for a single paid channel & numbers of FTA channels.

That' impossible.

If that's the case, weren't there DTH and cable TV services and providers even before the NCF was introduced? How did they manage to survive without the NCF back then?

Before introduction of NCF, All DTH have their own customised pack, which use to offer more number of channels we can get today by paying even more than that.

I still remember A-la-carte price of channels had no limits. Tata Sky used to offer Star Sports 1 channel at 60/- & HD version for 75/-.

Tata Sky use to have "Make my Pack" in which we can make our own pack from a-la-carte channels but there used to be starting limit of minimum 150/- or 200/-.

TRAI has made watching TV channels costlier & is walking on the same path till now....

I want that pre-NCF era back because there were so many channels included in every pack. NCF is trash and needs to be removed ASAP.

Kerala vision provided almost all major malayalam tamil hindi english sports kids infotainment channels for 230₹ before NTO ,now it's all gone ,now it is a pathetic situation, trai literally destroyed the growing potential of television industry whole
