Kerala vision provided almost all major malayalam tamil hindi english sports kids infotainment channels for 230₹ before NTO ,now it's all gone ,now it is a pathetic situation, trai literally destroyed the growing potential of television industry whole

NCF should be reasonable like Sun's Rs.80+GST as DTH/MSO's get 20% margins and volume Incentives from broadcasters

Even channels themselves to be for killing of DTH and GEC channels as most of big network channels are showing its daily shows on its own platform so there is no exclusivity most people watch their fav shows on OTT it self... Big networks who are owning respective OTT's should not show their primetime shows on it platform that would help TV to grow

I have had DTH since last 18 years and 220-250 packs were enough but now with NCF I can only watch 3-4 main channels like Star, Zee, Colors for same price.

Broadcasters can offer OTT price to DTH/cable for their entire network channels like Star pack @ 120/- pm with HD.

I stopped watching anything other than News and Sports on TV long back.reason was pathetic content presented on tv on daily basis.Infact i tried to watch some series's on tv just to checked whether i am biased or the programmes are really crap.Turned out the programs were really sh#t and i couldn't muster courage to watch after a day or 2.OTT vs Dumb TV has become a battle of classes just like train travellers vs Plane travellers 20 years back.Thankfully the OTT platform is trying its best to stoop to the level of TV programs and it won't be long before we stop watching anything.

It wasn't TRAI alone.
Star India poisoning Star World so people move to Hotstar was a thing too.

Star is/was the biggest culprit which was having a control of Tata Sky too.

Bfore NTO, DPOs earning were Rs.50-70 as NCF and pay channels were @ Rs.9-10/-, after NTO all are earning double, so customers to pay doube @ Rs.400/500, even fiber users shell out Rs.1,000 per month due to bundle broadband+OTT plan, Prime Video and Netflix.
