People who watches TV nowadays wants quality content as they already have smartphone as a form of entertainment. Otherwise they don't watch. Unlike at South where regional channels compete against each other. Here, operators are competiting with the likes of mighty Star, Zee, Sony and Colors. Even rerun channels are more popular than regional channels. Back when Mahua was launched. It was really popular. Soon it declined. IMO Zee shouldn't give up. Either air movies with mix of entertainment and entertainment or just shut down for good. Too many movie channel. Yet, none of them are any good. Extremely poor curation of movies. Sony with almost non existent library does better.
