There are 2 main reasons one is no new channel licenses and as a result no new channels launch for last few months now but this is an indirect reason as Zee Kannada HD already received license provided there is no hidden restriction as a result of current Scenario that prevent Zee Kannada HD launch.

Two still there is no enough distributors for Zee Tamil & Zee Telugu HDs among DTH operators with their own Dishtv yet to have it on their Platform.So the Distributor issue needs to be taken care of only then Zee Kannada HD will be launched otherwise there's no use in launching to few Audiences it won't be a profitable venture for ZEEL.

There are many Cable networks in Karnataka. They can distribute it to them.

I don't know the ground reality in karnataka but in Tamilnadu Zee Tamil suffering a worst distribution problem only one DTH operator Tata Sky alone has Zee Tamil HD and prominent 3-4 local digital networks has Zee Tamil HD but it doesn't has good reach even in suburbs of chennai where I'm residing currently where all other DTH has strong presence ie in every home from huts to bungalows there is a DTH connection.

If that ground reality suits karnataka too where DTH overtakes Digital Cable Networks this is not the right time to launch a new HD channel

You are cent percent correct.Without distribution whats the use in launching channels. ZEEL had kept on hold all Living group channels also due to this reason.

Yesterday Zee kannada celebrated 12 years of journey in an event.
Most probably Zee kannada HD soon launching!!
