It's mentioned in on of the promos that was released during Saregama finale. We may expect it on New year's Eve or on New year's day. Launch of Zee Thirai will coincide with it.

But the question is this - is Zee having enough titles in Tamil to launch a full fledged Tamil movie channel. Even star that is having presence in Tamil market for two decades is predominantly relying on Telugu movies dubbed into Tamils, and it repeats the films like anything.
