But the question is this - is Zee having enough titles in Tamil to launch a full fledged Tamil movie channel. Even star that is having presence in Tamil market for two decades is predominantly relying on Telugu movies dubbed into Tamils, and it repeats the films like anything.

My Zee Tamil Source Claims They Have Rights Of Over 1600+ Movies!

(Includes Old Movies Also)

Zee Thirai if has good movie line up and collections, will further hurt KTV heavily. KTV will soon lose 4th place too. 4th place will shuffle between Vijay Super, KTV, Zee Thirai.

Meanwhile, Sun needs to invest some more in Sun Life. LCN placement incentives, less ads, HD launch etc.

Sun Life is in league with Vasanth TV , captain TV and other such channels. It doesn't air programmes, if not for movies, like a channel from the major network. It would be good to see it as a retro hybrid channel like it used to be.

God knows why sun network is treasuring the titles with limited airing on sun TV. It's after several years post the premiere a blockbuster movie comes to KTV. Despite its huge library, KTV airs movies that are old, and withered

Zee thirai will compete with Vijay Super though zee has some amazing titles like Mersal, Irumbu Thirai, Kavan, and they don't repeat movies much (except Rajini Murugan which was played almost every time) also titles like Yaan, Vanavayaran Vallavayaran etc Plus zee studios entry in tamil production has also made them sure.

KTV airs prime time movies which are telecasted at afternoon slot on Sun TV. Earlier Sun TV used to show premieres after 3-4 years of release. I remember the excitement at the time of Ghilli premiere in 2007 but now this doesn't work

Sun life has some very good programs. It is competing with Colors Tamil, Kalaignar, Jaya and Polimer.
