I'm sure if Reliance Industries Viacom18 proposal to merge with Zee nobody stops, within a 6 month merger successful happens. But sadly Zee rejected that offer, now they're getting revenge from officials.

Zee is a messed up company. They need to disinvest in various sector for them to get clarence . especially siti and dish tv they need to get rid of it.

Siti owned under Essel group and Zee/Essel already lost dish tv control. multiple fathers always dangerous to media companies, Zee already did mistake now Viacom18 too done same mistake, who knows one day these multiple fathers fight against company.

Viacom 18 has not done that mistake . mota bhai knows what he is doing. If this issue rises he will bring consolidation on table. Now that FDI in viacom18 has reduced to 10%.
Sony made a big mistake by merging with Zee. They had resource they could have bought zee or even have non exclusive deal. Instead they choose merge it wont even help them in US.
Who knows if netflix doesn't get paramount pics they will go for columbia . whats the future of the merged entity.?

mota bhai already destroyed Viacom in india, parent company Paramount itself have less stake in Viacom18, Remaining stakes too acquired means paramount looking for complete exit from Viacom18.

what profit will it bring to paramount if it exits the JV with india's biggest media house. Already WS is underestimating PARA stocks , it will be sucide if they disinvest. They can make money with brand licensing and enjoy subscription growth riding along. I would agree RIL destroyed Viacom as it all changed when RIL increased their stake in V18

I don't understand Reliance intention sake of Telecom company Jio they killed own fastest growing Viacom18/Voot brands, like they have acquired FIFA world cup and many other sports rights under Viacom18. but they aired on Jio Cinema which already moved under new company Reliance storage pvt and fooled their own Voot paid lakhs of subscribers.
