Now that Sony will terminate their deal with zee, they should expand in other regions of the country through M&A.

Specifically I can see them being interested in the regional channels of Viacom. Viacom and Star have too many overlaps and if their merger is to go through, CCI would ask one of them to drop their regional channels. Star has the might so Viacom could sell their regional channels to Sony..
