Let's compare Zee/Sony merger with Star/Disney(UTV) merger from 20th March,2019.
Let's observe changes they made..so we get clear idea of wht nee Sony,Zee merger looks ..points would be on rebranding,adding , cancellation of channles

Note - changes made before 2019 won't apply as before 2019 star is owned by FOX not Disney
They concentrated more on international rollout nd on sports..other remain same.
Only1 rebranding, 2 shutdowns happend, 3 new channel's got launched.
Star films/library telecasted on UTv movies..UTV Hollywood dubs came into star gold nd star Utsav.

Star Sports Marathi along with Nat Geo Tamil and Telugu have been shutdown because of distribution problem and TRAI New rules.
Star may have Plans to launch Star Sports Marathi again because of public demand.

Kalanithi Maran never likes to leave his business , as he also have politics support from his family ( former TN CM and DMK chief was Grandfather of Kalanithi Maran and current CM MK Stalin was Uncle of Kalanithi Maran) Some news is that in 2015 itself modi threatened Kalanithi Maran to sell the Sun TV Network to Mumbai based business man as Kalanithi Maran denied it Modi govt denied to give security clearance for Sun TV Network's TV channels and FM radio's and block them from bidding for radio FM Channels but he overcamed that's all by going supreme court and almost cleared all the case which where issued on him , also a big thing he launched his channel on the period of ADMK-Congrees alliance rule in both State and central, he overcamed this 2015 issue when Modi was in power on central and ADMK was in power on TN, as DMK was opposition of the both parties they can't do anything at that time. So we can't expect any merge or sale from Sun TV Network.

I hope he don't buy Sun network, etv network did big mistake by giving its Successful ETV Regional channels. Colors spoiled mostly all regional ETV channels. Etv regional channels were far better then Colors regional channels.

Will sony launch regionals channels in south ?

Why only in South? Why not in North east or west?
Where they will see growth or any opportunity they will sure launch a Sports channel whatever language it be.

But Kalanithi Maran itself didn't give it , here after Sun TV Network have good opportunity to drive huge profit from Flim business and OTT business, also they have big plans for their TV channels also.

No they won't . Now they got what they needed to cater for digital audience. They will look for jio or airtel for tieup just like Disney+

I read letter from Star network on Twitter where they mentioned it got closed after distribution and other problems. They don't show anything on the channel. It may be running not completely shutdown but without any shows.
Can you tell me it's shutdown or it's Running and if it's running then why no shows on channel?

Currently we can watch IPL in Marathi only on Hotstar. Star sports should at least have provided a Language feed on Star Sports 1 channel because most of people watch sports on TV then watching online.
