It’s time to analyze the performance of Direct-to-Home (DTH) operators for November 2025. Starting with Dish TV, the operator added 114 new channels and no channels were removed from the platform. Tata Play, Airtel Digital TV, and DD Free Dish added only 1 channel respectively while D2H and Sun Direct added none.
Tata Play
The addition made by Tata Play on their platform includes Bloomberg TV HD. Tata Play upgraded the SD version of Bloomberg TV to HD while removed 11 channels include Captain, Kashish News, The Q, Swatantra TV, Spondon, Manoranjan Prime, Star Plus HD+1 (Service Channel), Zee TV HD+1 (Service Channel), Colors HD+1 (Service Channel), Star Gold HD+1 (Service Channel), and Zee Cinema HD+1 (Service Channel). The removal of +1 service channels from Tata Play left their customers dissatisfied as this was the premium feature that other DTH operators don’t have.
In November 2025, Tata Play provided only Jingalala Saturdays Offer. Besides Jingalala offers, Tata Play Bollywood Premiere, Tata Play Classic TV, and Tata Play Aradhana are available for Rs 1 and subscribers can subscribe anytime. By recharging via Bhim UPI, Tata Play Subscribers can get Rs 20 cashback on recharge above Rs 200. Lastly, Times Play OTT has been added on Tata Play Binge platform.
Airtel Digital TV
Airtel Digital TV has made 1 new channel available namely Pear TV. No existing channels were removed from the platform. There was no Super Sunday sale offered by Airtel Digital TV for the whole November month.
Dish TV and D2H
Dish TV added a grand total of 114 channels on their platform. These 114 channels were added as Dish TV started to shift ST2 channels to SES8 satellite. The list includes channels from broadcasters like JioStar, Zee Network, Sun TV Network, Sony, and others. D2H neither added nor removed any channel from their platform.
Dish TV and D2H launched entertainment passes at Rs 0 and launched 6 new packs including freedom pack at no extra NCF. Dish TV and D2H Watcho added Amazon Prime Lite on their platform and is available free for 3 months after taking Dish TV or D2H new connection. Lastly, Dish TV and D2H enabled a special discount for existing Dish TV or D2H subscribers on the purchase of VZY TV.
DD Free Dish
The state-owned, Free-to-air satellite television provider DD Free Dish added Skyrama Daily Post on its platform. There were no channel removals made by DD Free Dish in November month.
Its very sad to see that alot of channels are being removed from tataplay..
btw the removal of these channels are on the apps or from set up box like tataplay removed sony yay from their app but its still available on the set up box just wanted to ask the report is of about the tataplay app/web or set-up box
