Dish TV run Direct to Home (DTH) operator d2h on Monday announced the extension of the account validity of its customers by 1 day for supporting the Janta Curfew. The adjustment of validity will be made on the next recharge.
D2h in a message to its customers said, “Stay Home. Stay Safe. Stay Entertained. In support of Janta Curfew, d2h extends your account S by 1 day. The same shall be adjusted on your next recharge.”
The extension in account validity will definitely be welcomed by d2h customers across the country who are quarantining by staying at home to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Companies across various industries are announcing measures to help the country fight corona. D2h has taken the initiative and become the first DTH operator to offer extended validity after the outbreak of COVID-19 in India.
D2h services on Saturday and Sunday were affected by extremely high traffic making its server crash. D2h customers could neither watch television services nor recharge their accounts.
With lockdown being enforced around the country to contain the spread of COVID-19, companies are working with limited staff. The huge number of customers who need to be serviced is putting a strain on the already reduced staff and servers. Telecom, Direct to Home, Cable, and OTT platforms are facing challenging times with their consumption increasing manifolds.
