MIB amends language authorization of ‘News18 Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Himachal’ TV channel license
News18 Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Himachal TV channel license now authorized to broadcast in Hindi, Dogri, Urdu and Kashmiri.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently amended the language authorization of TV18 Broadcast Limited’s ‘News18 Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Himachal‘ satellite TV channel license.
The Ministry’s permitted satellite TV channel license repository in the last few days has seen updated with the amended language authorization of the TV channel license.

For the unversed, the Ministry had last month updated its permitted satellite TV channel database with the renaming of TV18 Broadcast Limited’s erstwhile ‘News18 Urdu’ TV channel license to ‘News18 Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Himachal’.
The erstwhile TV channel license only had permission to broadcast in ‘Urdu’ language as per the Ministry. The Ministry has now authorized the TV license to broadcast in 4 Indian languages namely ‘Hindi, Dogri, Urdu, and Kashmiri’.
