MIB grants license to Sidharth Gold and Shalini TV

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has in December till now granted 2 Television licenses to Shalini TV and Sidharth Gold to start their operations.

Shalini TV license is owned by Shalini Television Network and was granted by the Ministry on 16th December. The channel will be a Non-News channel airing from Intelsat 17 satellite.

Sidharth Gold on the other hand is owned by Sarthak Music Pvt. Ltd. It was granted license earlier this month on 3rd December and will be an Odia channel. It will air from INSAT satellite.

Other than these two the Ministry is yet to update its database with any other change if any. There is no clarity of the pending applications of Bloomberg Quint either at this point of time.
