The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) today updated its database with the renaming of three existing satellite TV channels held and owned by Graphisads Private Limited. MIB has allowed Sadhna TV, Awakenig TV, and JKL 24* News to hold a satellite TV channel license at the expense of existing satellite TV channels which have been renamed.
The Ministry renamed Graphisads Private Limited held ‘P Plus’ and ‘PTunes’ license to make way for ‘Sadhna TV’ and ‘JKL 24*7 News’. MIB had initially on 27th December 2018 allowed Graphisads Private Limited to operate ‘P Plus’ as a ‘NON-NEWS’ category channel with permission for uplinking and downlinking and operation in Hindi, English, and other Indian language scheduled languages.

MIB had separately on the same day allowed ‘PTunes’ license to Graphisads Private Limited with permission for uplinking and downlinking and operation in Hindi, English, and other Indian language scheduled languages as a ‘NON-NEWS’ category. MIB has renamed ‘PTunes’ license as ‘Awakenig TV’ and ‘P Plus’ license as ‘Sadhna TV’.
MIB has also renamed another Graphisads Private Limited held TV license named ‘Public First’ as ‘JKL 24*7 News’. MIB had on 28th June 2017 given the company the license to operate a ‘NEWS’ category channel named ‘Prerna’. The license was subsequently named as ‘Awakening’, and ‘Public First’.
MIB today also pdated its database with the renaming of multiple other existing satellite TV channels. MIB has given the green light to TV9 Network to launch TV9 Tamil apart from nod for ND: Newsdaily24.in and Channel 36 UP/UK.
