The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) today updated it’s permitted satellite TV channel database with the renaming of recently granted satellite TV license ‘CTVN AKD Rastrio’.
The satellite TV channel license was initially granted to Calcutta Television Network Private Limited as ‘CTVN AKD Rastrio’ on 23rd November 2020 that now stands renamed as ‘AKD CN Rashtriya’. The channel continues to have the permission to uplink and downlink in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The channel is said to an upcoming Hind News channel from CTVN’s end with formal launch on the horizon. The channel recently teased it’s launch by issuing promotional banners in public interest.
