New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) Group on Thursday in a BSE filing announced cost-cutting measures in view of the uncertainty surrounding the recovery of the global and Indian economy.
NDTV said that the decreasing advertisement revenue accelerated by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic had forced it to take cost cutting measures with immediate effect.
Effective April 1, NDTV has been forced to implement a salary cut of 10-40 percent based on income slabs for a period of three months which is subject to detailed review at the end of the period across its employee base.
However, the salary cut is only for the employees who earn more than Rs 50,000 per month with NDTV Group deciding not to implement salary cuts for employees who earn Rs 50,000 per month or less.
