Republic Media Network yesterday announced it’s entry into the Bengali market inviting News hound’s to send in their CV as the broadcaster starts hiring for its upcoming news service. The announcement comes merely days after ARG Outlier Media registered ‘R.Bangla’ trademark with the Trademark Registry which is currently ‘Marked for Exam’.

Republic Media Network is on the hunt for News hound’s with strong command over Bengali, passionate about Live News format, experienced at any News Desk in any News channel in Bengal, and having a good sense and awareness of Bengal current events.

According to an Economic Times report in 2019, Republic TV was back then itself planning to enter the Bangla market in 2019 with the launch of a news channel although the same didn’t happen back then.

As of now, ARG Outlier Media holds two TV license for Republic TV and Republic TV Bharat. The network could foray into regional broadcast with R.Bangla ahead of the Assembly Elections in West Bengal next year. Registration of trademark is a pre-requisite for companies applying to the I&B Ministry for a satellite TV channel license.
