Direct to Home (DTH) operators Tata Sky and Airtel Digital have discontinued their free preview of service channels which they had earlier rolled out during the initial stages of lockdown. Dish TV, however, seems to be continuing its free preview for now.
According to the terms and conditions on the Tata Sky website, the Platform Services offer was only available to its eligible subscribers at no additional cost till 30th April 2020. Notably, Tata Sky had earlier stated that the free preview would be available till lockdown persists.
DreamDTH reached out to Tata Sky for confirmation on the same. Tata Sky Representative said, “Currently, there are no Tata Sky service channels available for free during the lockdown.”
Airtel, on the other hand, discontinued the free preview of its service channels yesterday midnight with all the three service channels throwing up an Error Code 4 for those who have not subscribed to it.
Dish TV however seems to be continuing the free preview given the banner is still listed on its website. Dish TV is offering 30 days free preview of its 4 service channels since April start.
