Tata Sky on Wednesday launched a new platform service called ‘Tata Sky Romance’ in partnership with JOP Network to further expand its already diverse offerings. As the name suggests this channel will be exclusively available on Tata Sky and will broadcast romantic movies and TV shows in Hindi.
Tata Sky Romance is available on channel number 113. It’s touted to be a one-stop destination for all things love which will offer a variety of romantic content across Hollywood, Bollywood and Television, curated for the good old fashioned romantics. The company has roped in Shaheer Sheikh and Sana Makbul as the face of the campaign to promote Tata Sky Romance.
This new service channel is priced at Rs 2 per day or Rs 60 per month. As a launch offer it will be provided for 5 days at no extra cost. Similar to all other platform services, this is also completely ad-free and subscribers can also watch it easily anywhere through the Tata Sky Mobile app.
“Romance is one of the most popular genres in India when it comes to entertainment,” said Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial and Content Officer, Tata Sky. “We believe Tata Sky Romance is a good destination for audiences preferring to watch content from a different country but in their own language. The service provides choicest selection of romantic titles across Hollywood and Bollywood on TV screen in Hindi, ad free, making it a perfect gateway to unwind, this festive season,” she added.
The line-up of Hollywood blockbuster movies and shows include Bold & Beautiful, Cedar Cove, Ashk, Notting Hill, No Strings Attached, I Could Never Be Your Woman, Death Defying Acts, Heartbreakers, The Good Girl. It is also having popular Bollywood titles such as Jab We Met amongst others, featuring stalwarts like Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Hugh Grant, Ashton Kutcher, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, etc.
Tata Sky has also said that soon more content will be added to this service such as A Place To Call Home, Juda Na Hona and movies like Indecent Proposal, Almost Friends, Ghost, Love Actually, Socha Na Tha amongst others.
