Zee Media today reported the financial results for the quarter ending March 31, 2020. ZMCL reported a net profit of Rs 11.14 crore, up from the Rs 181.87 crore net loss in Q3 FY 20 owing to exceptional items. On annual basis, ZMCL posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 271.12 crores, down from the net profit of Rs 13.17 crore in FY 19.

ZMCL’s total revenue in Q4 FY 20 came down from Rs 157.62 crore in the preceding quarter to Rs 143.04 crore. The total expenses in Q4 FY 20 rose from Rs 132.73 crore in Q3 FY 20 to Rs 134.4 crore in Q4 FY 20. The net profit stood at Rs 11.14 crore in Q4 FY 20, up from the net loss of Rs 181.87 crore in the preceding quarter due to exceptional items.
On annual basis, the total revenue in FY 20 stood at Rs 640.81 crore, down from Rs 698.58 crore in FY 19. The total expenses in FY 20 stood at Rs 561.23 crore, down from Rs 586.68 crore in FY 19. The net loss in FY 20 due to exceptional items stood at Rs 271.12 crore, down from the net profit of Rs 13.17 crore in FY 19.
The advertising revenue in Q4 FY 20 stood at Rs 128.64 crore, down from Rs 154.2 crore in Q3 FY 20 whereas the subscription revenue in Q4 FY 20 stood at Rs 8.47 crore, down from Rs 10.16 crore in Q3 FY 20.
On annual basis, the advertising revenue in FY 20 stood at Rs 583.5 crore, down from Rs 616.1 crore in FY 19. The subscription revenue in FY 20 stood at Rs 38.16 crore, down from Rs 47.39 crore in FY 19.
