108 MSO applications pending with MIB at August end

The Ministry granted 9 MSO licenses whose identity is unknown currently, down from the 15 MSO licenses that were granted last month.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) is sitting upon 108 MSO licenses at the end of August 2020, 2 down from 110 MSO licenses which were pending at the end of July 2020 according to the monthly performance statistics published by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The Ministry in August received 7 new applications for MSO licenses, down from 9 new applications for MSO licenses received in the month of July. The Ministry granted 9 MSO licenses whose identity is unknown currently, down from the 15 MSO licenses that were granted last month.

The number of pending MSO license applications with the MIB at the end of August now stands at 108, down from 110 it had at the end of July 2020 in the pending status. The number of pending MSO licenses is the lowest since November 2019 end when only 101 MSO licenses were pending with the MIB.

Since April 2019 the Ministry has now received over 231 applications for new MSO licenses whereas the Ministry till date has approved over 123 MSO licenses.
