12 channels allocated slots in 57th DD Free Dish E-Auction

These channels will be available on DD Free Dish from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023 subject to completion of all formalities.

Prasar Bharati on Friday evening announced the successful completion of the 4th annual or 57th e-Auction of MPEG-4 slots of the DD Free Dish platform. The 12 channels which got the slots through this auction will be added on DD Free Dish from 1st April 2022 and remain till 31st March 2023, subject to completion of all formalities.

Aastha Bhajan, Bflix Movies, Chardikla Time TV, India News UP/UK, News 18 UP/UK, News 24 Think First, News India 24×7, News State UP/UK, Raftar, Samay, Sudarshan News and Swadesh News are the 12 channels which won the slots.

Out of these, only one channel Bflix movies belong to the Hindi movies genre, Aastha Bhajan is devotional and Chardikla Time TV is Punjabi infotainment, devotional channel. The remaining nine are regional or national news channels.

Prasar Bharati received the highest bid price of Rs 1.6 crores in the 4th annual E-Auction compared to Rs 1.12 crores in the 3rd annual E-Auction with a 42.85% rise. The average bid also saw a growth of 42.70% from 0.89 crores in the 3rd annual E-Auction to Rs 1.27 crores in the 4th E-Auction.
