53 Channels win slots in 44th E-Auction of DD Free Dish

With the highest bid of Rs 15.2 crores the 44th E-Auction of Doordarshan owned DD Free Dish was successfully completed on 28th February with Prasar Bharti announcing the final results of the auction yesterday. 

The highest bid of Rs 15.2 crore was for the Hindi GEC channel in bucket A+. ABZY COOL, BIG MAGIC, DANGAL and FUN TV are the 4 channels who won the slots in this bucket. Average slot price in this genre was Rs 15.16 crore.

12 slots were available for Hindi movie genre in bucket A with a reserve price of Rs 12 crore, highest bid in this category was Rs 13.6 crore and average slot price was Rs 13 crore. ABZY Dhakad, ABZY Movies, B4U Kadak, B4U Movies, Blue, Cinema TV India, Enterr10, Maha Movie, Manoranjan TV, Movie Plus, Satya and Surya Cinema are the channels which won slots.

Bucket B which includes Hindi music, Hindi Sports, Bhojpuri movies, Bhojpuri GEC and Hindi teleshopping genres had the highest number of slots for sale. Reserve price for this bucket was set to Rs 10 crore, the highest bid was Rs 12.25 crore and the average price was Rs 11.55 crore.

In Bucket B, 7 Hindi music channels- B4U Music, Mastii Music, MTV Beats, Showbox Music, Zing Music, 9X Jalwa, 9XM, 7 Bhojpuri movie channels– Bhojpuri Cinema, B4U Bhojpuri, Dabang, Filamchi, Manoranjan Grand, Surya Bhojpuri, Zee Biskope and 2 Bhojpuri GEC- Big Ganga and BDM got the slots.

Punjabi and Hindi News channels genre in Bucket C had 13 slots to be sold with a reserve price of Rs 7 crore. The highest bid in this bucket was Rs 12.25 crore and the average price was Rs 10.85 crore.

Aaj Tak, Aaj Tak Tez, ABP News, India News, India TV, NDTV, News Nation, News 24, News 18 India, Republic Bharat, TV9 Bharatvarsh, Zee Hindustan and Zee News won slots under Bucket C.

Bucket D having 5 slots for regional channels had an average price of Rs 6.17 crore and the highest bid was Rs 6.25 crore. This bucket had a reserve price of Rs 6 crore. Fakt Marathi, Manoranjan Movies, Maha Punjabi, Shemaroo Marathibana and Zee Punjabi won here.

3 slots were kept for religious channels under bucket R1 with the lowest reserve price of Rs 3 crore. The highest bid for this genre went up to Rs 7.15 crore and the average price was 6.97 crore. C7, Lord Budha and Sadhana Bhakti got slots under this genre. All these channels will go live on DD Free Dish from 1st April 2020.
