Change in programmes of 9xm

Unrelated topic but we must appreciate Sun Network for running music channels in respective regional languages along with 2 having HD versions launched long back. It can be counted as a big broadcaster successfully running music channels currently.

Sincere request to kalanithi maran to add a HD music channel for hindi people too.
I will support SRH in every match and even switch to Sun DTH.

Almost all the music channel shutdowns in the last few years (MTV Beats, Vh1, Sony Mix, Sony Rox HD, Bindass, Zee ETC Bollywood) were from big broadcasters. Only MTunes HD and PEN Media’s channels (I Love WOW Music) were from small networks.

Meanwhile small broadcasters’ music channels are surviving very well, like 9XM, Mastiii, E24, ShowBox and B4U Music, mostly thanks to DD Free Dish.

None of them are bothered about HD channels. Only Zoom is from a slightly bigger broadcaster (Times) but even that has never cared to launch an HD version, unlike Times’ English movie channels.

Even 9X Media hasn’t launched anything for more than a decade, and it remains perfectly happy with four channels: 9XM, 9X Jalwa, Tashan and Jhakaas. Looks like we will enter the 2030s without a single new music channel being launched!

Music channels game is over because of Internet, YouTube and other on the go type music apps. E24, ShowBox and Zoom are hardly surviving. I even doubt ShowBox which is an encrypted channel will survive long after leaving DD Free Dish.

The musical network should seriously consider switching to HD because if they won't they'll forever be considered bottom of the trash can.
