After Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, Ram seemed to take a sabbatical for 15 months. He was in search for good scripts. And, one did come his way. It was narrated by Santosh Srinivas, a wannabe director, and he soon gave the nod. Rest is history.
Today, in retrospect, Ram is happy that he did Kandireega and even states with a sense of narcissism that his prediction that his film was going to be a commercial success across the state has come true.
The actor says that for an actor like him, taking a long gap (after RRKK) could have been suicidal but Kandireega's success has almost, if any, meant to him that the wait was worth it.
Currently basking in the glory of the latest success, Ram is on a loud nine.
