’24: Live Another Day’ back on AXN in new format

MUMBAI: The popular American espionage series ’24′ is back on the English infotainment channel AXN. After eight seasons, Jack Bauer is back on the channel with a limited 12 episode series ‘24: Live Another Day’.

The series will premiere on the channel on 9 May at 10 pm, which is just four days after its US premiere. The show will launch with a special two-hour television event on 9 May on AXN India. Retaining the real-time, nail-biting, fast-paced format with split screens and interweaving storylines, the series also stars Kim Raver and William Devane reprising their original roles. Newcomers in the series include Yvonne Strahovsk of the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ fame, Law & Oder’s Benjamin Bratt, American actor and director Tate Donovan, British actor Giles Matthey, Gbenga Akinnagbe from The Wire, and Canadian actor Michael Wincott.

While Mary Lynn Rajskub is back as a darker and Goth-inspired Chloe O’Brian, Anil Kapoor, who starred in the Indian adaptation of 24, will not be essaying the role of Kamistan President Omar Hassan. The new series starts with former counter-terrorism agent Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as a fugitive from the US government who’d been ‘off the grid’ for four years but suddenly resurfaces in east London to save the world.

It will once again follow the exploits of Bauer, as he attempts to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever. The show will feature a dizzying conspiracy plot involving military drones, convoys in Afghanistan, a Presidential assassination attempt and the growing threat from China.

Already watched the 2 hour episode in Full HD + 5.1 sound format from torrents. Its pathetic not to watch the series in Star World Premier HD.
BTW Jack is in full throttle as usual from the very first moment.
