Why Dish tv hd is not providing 5.1 sound??wen it will b rectified??any info guys?

No friend.Dish tv HD is not providing 5.1 sound.

No DTH operator in India is providing true 5.1 sound although they claim it. All are 2 channel Stereo.
Primeconnect Ltd teleports have 5.1ch feed for Movies Now but after getting into dth streams, it is downlinked as 2 channel stereo.

I dont think so..airtel DTH,videocon dth and Tata sky Dth r providing 5.1 sound.U can watch star network HD channles on dolby digtal plus..movies now,discovery HD,Neo geo HD all r coming in 5.1 in these DTH providers..but only Dish tv HD which is giving add in their website but they r not providing 5.1 sound.

Yes Bhaskar, what you are saying is correct friend, the channels you said sound very good. I will test my 5.1 channel music system ports and check if it works with FL, FR, SL, SR and Center speaker.

What I said is 100% correct but the problem is we cant connect our regular music systems to DTH setup box.we have to use coaxel cable r optical cable r HDMI cable.Optical fiber cable price is around 1500/-.if we want to connect our music system to setup box box we must have amplifier r 5.1 sound decoder to connect threw optical fiber.i think it is little bit expensive. Now watch the HD channles..U will definitely enjoy with 5.1 surround sound.

Many Source & Tatasky Advertisment Show Tatasky have 5.1 Sound By Optical & Cable But Not in Hdmi. So We can get 5.1 out of Stb is to connect the Tata Sky HDMI directly to TV, and use the component digital input for the audio.
