Yes... That what I was saying, its not part of the transaction yet. They may or may not do it. Also, Tata is in separate negotiations to Acquire the remaining stake as well.

Disney's official release states that If JV is performing well they may consider transferring additional assets.
Ambani (Jiostar) can't lost stake of Tata Play, even Tata's have not much interest for 30% stake of Disney due to losses mounted to Tata Play. Airtel also wants share swap for merger, not investing money for stakes.

But the problem is regarding the attitude of Airtel company. Their system is totally disorganized & approach towards customers is horrible. It was felt when I thought of cancelling existing tata play dth connection completely and switching to airtel by opting a new subscription. But luckily I didn't shifted to airtel due to pathetic experience with the unprofessional customer care & agent team. The problem was related to tata play binge box (android) which I was using earlier. It was a huge lag & total slowdown. So I thought why not to switch to new service provider Airtel. And after enquiring through Airtel CC team, some random dth distributor was assigned the task of installing dth box at my home. My account name was totally wrong with spelling mistakes in the order details received via Whatsapp which I felt totally unprofessional. When I asked about it to CC, they directed to new connection team & later they were also not sure how to correct it hence they told me that only concerned engineer from dth distributor can rectify. When I contacted the agent, he told me that name change can be done only after 3 months 🤣🤣 Also I came through many reviews where customers faced bizarre experience from Airtel team removing satellite & set top box for inactive accounts. Whereas in Tataplay I have not recharged for around 5-6 months when I was in travel & not present at home and nobody threatened that my stb & antenna would be taken away for not recharging regularly. Thank god I didn't paid money in advance to Airtel for new connection, otherwise it would have been a total loss. Due to the bad experience & poor reviews from customers about Airtel, I thought of purchasing tata play hd box as an additional device to my existing binge box. Hd box is running smoothly and I am using it as the primary device & binge box was swapped as a secondary device and it's paused currently because it's totally useless. Only bad thing about TP is that there was no option to downgrade my binge box to hd box. They could have replaced by taking my binge box and in return giving new hd box which they didn't. I had to pay some amount for ordering new hd box. Channel management, live tv via app & webpage is superior in Tata play. Wondering how it would be after Airtel acquires Tata play. Most of the Airtel customers complain about the unprofessional policy of not being able to manage bouquet & ala carte channels (add or remove) in their account until the cycle ends ☹️. On the other hand, tata play account balance is reflected on daily basis & channel management (selection & removal) is more transparent

Buddy, u r just presenting a wrong perception about Airtel based on ur or few other experiences of customers which u would have got while searching for issues which u faced and algorithms of Google will show u articles or things regarding topics u often search.

My simple point is if Airtel was so bad as u r stating then they would not have been so successful in each of their businesses so fact is Airtel is doing great because of good strategies and services

Maybe I would be wrong because of bad experience faced by me. But many other Airtel customers have also opined about availability of few number of channels as compared to other operators, and cunning attitude of restricting customer's channel selection and removal option until the end of recharge cycle.

Which is why i said such bitter customer experiences can be found in some numbers across various companies , if a company is performing well then most likely the count of such cases would be less.... Airtel is doing very well and improving constantly based on feedback

Both sides are expected to announce a heads of terms agreement in the coming days, following which due diligence will begin. After the merger, Airtel is expected to hold 52-55% of the combined entity while Tata Play shareholders, including Walt Disney, will hold 45-48%.

The company is expected to be run by Airtel’s senior management though Tata is understood to be seeking two board seats. Both operations are being valued “more or less equally” at around Rs 6,000-7,000 crore, said one of the people cited.

Airtel will get access to Tata Play’s 19 million homes, supporting its ‘triple play’ strategy of bundling telecom, broadband and DTH services.

Airtel will get access to tata play 19 million homes means, After merge everything is managed by airtel?
